  Lena E. Bunton, age 92, of Butler, passed away Monday, February 26, 2007 at her residence.

  Mrs. Bunton was born on July 13, 1914 in Johnson County to the late Roe and Martha Atwood Gwinn. Lena was an avid reader of books and liked her flowers. She was a member of Bakers Gap Baptist Church.

  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bunton; sister, Lennis Stansbery and four brothers, Charles, Wilburn, Thomas C. and William C. Gwinn.

  Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Carl Swift officiating. Pallbearers will be Dave Gwinn, Joe Gwinn, Carrol Chappell, Keith Guinn, Aaron Baird, and Johnny Stanton. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Snyder, Dave Dugger, Dr. John Whitlock, Bobby Stanton, Timmy Stanton, Ron Murphy, Marvin Gwinn, Mac Atwood, Kyle Baker, Phil Bunton, and Terry Baird. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 2nd in Bakers Gap Cemetery.

  Friends may also visit at any time at the home of Joe Baird, 670 Tom Bunton Lane, Butler.
