Pictures Taken

These pictures were taken at Cress Cemetery in Johnson County, Tennessee on August 10-11, 2002 by Basil McVey and he is the owner of all images unless otherwise noted. A return vist was made on March 15, 2003 and two new markers were found.

Sources of Names Listed

Jeffrey L. Carrier visited the Cress Cemetery on October 14, 1980. The listing that follows is derived from the photographs taken by Basil L. McVey on August 10-11, 2002 or are listed in Upon A Lonely Hill The Cemeteries Of Johnson County, Tennessee (Upon A Lonely Hill or UL pp. 54-56). There are many markers that are not in the book because the deaths occurred after his visit. However, it appears that there is a corresponding marker for every marker that Carrier listed (although it may be newer than when Carrier visited).

Information in brackets [sample] was added by Basil McVey unless indicated otherwise.
