9 unmarked graves: My father, Calvin Shaw, told me who each one of these graves belonged to. At that time I made a map of the cemetery listing everyone's name. This was done back in the 1980's. I do not have any obituaries or any formal documentation, just what he told me.

He died as he lived
a Christian
[Robert Hallyburton Farthing
Enlisted in the 37th Regiment of the Confederate Army September 18, 1861. During the Battle of Gaines' Mill, Hanover County, Virginia, on June 27, 1862, he was wounded in the right arm. Although the Confederates won the victory at Gaines' Mill, Robert developed gangrene and his right arm had to be amputated and was buried in Richmond, Virginia. Robert was discharged February 8, 1865.
