CHARLES EUBERT BURGIN

Charles Eubert Burgin, 71, 875 Huggins Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at his residence Friday, October 8, 2004 following a brief illness. He was a native of Marion, North Carolina, born May 11, 1933 to the late Robert Charles Burgin and Kate Schison Burgin. He was a former bus driver for the Johnson County School System and a retired farmer. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Korea. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Parsons, of the home; two sons, Jim Parsons and Bobby Parsons and wife Linda, all of Mountain City; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the Forrester Cemetery with Jim Hutchinson officiating.

Active pallbearers were Bruce Triplett, John Triplett, Arvil Vanover, J.C. Vanover, Dick Lindsy and Danny Shumate.

Memorials may be made to the Liberty Christian Church Building Fund, 405 Liberty Church Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.

Hux-Lipford Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Evelyn Parsons, age 79, of 875 Huggins Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at the Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Mountain City, Tennessee, Mary was born November 2, 1925 to the late L.L. and Dora Farmer Gentry Forrester. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Burgin, who passed away in 2004, and one son, Harold E. Parsons. Mary had retired from the Johnson County Hospital and was a member of Liberty Christian Church where she was also active in the Church Choir.

Mary is survived by two sons: James Parsons and Robert Wayne Parsons, both of Mountain City, Tennessee; two half sisters: Bett Ward of Bristol, Tennessee and "Toot"; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005 from the Forrester Cemetery with Mr. Jim Hutchinson to officiate. Family and Friends are asked to assemble by 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Cemetery for Services. At other times, friends may call at the residence. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.hux-tetrick.com.
