Charles Eubert Burgin, 71, 875 Huggins Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at his residence Friday, October 8, 2004 following a brief illness. He was a native of Marion, North Carolina, born May 11, 1933 to the late Robert Charles Burgin and Kate Schison Burgin. He was a former bus driver for the Johnson County School System and a retired farmer. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Korea. He was a member of Liberty Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Parsons, of the home; two sons, Jim Parsons and Bobby Parsons and wife Linda, all of Mountain City; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, October 10, 2004 at 2 p.m. from the Forrester Cemetery with Jim Hutchinson officiating.
Active pallbearers were Bruce Triplett, John Triplett, Arvil Vanover, J.C. Vanover, Dick Lindsy and Danny Shumate.

Hux-Lipford Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
