Martha (sic) Payne Howard, 91 years, nine months and 14 days, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 1945, at the home of her son, Dave Howard at Mountain City.
In 1874, she was married to G. W. Howard, and to this union were born the following children: Nancy Howard, Roby, Robert, George, James, Dave and Lillie Howard Phillips. Nancy Howard preceded her mother in death.
She was a member of the Baptist Church, with Rev. Robert Moore as pastor.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. N. Riddle, with interment in McEwen Cemetery.
