MRS. NESSIE PHILLIPS, born Oct. 6, 1902, the daughter of Walter and Edna ROTEN of Zionville, N.C., died at Grace Hospital, Banner Elk, Nov. 1, 1945, at the age of 43 years and 26 days. She had been in the hospital for some time.
Mrs. Phillips was married to Sam PHILLIPS by Rev. A. E. Brown of Mountain City on April 19, 1922. She had been a member of the Roan Creek Baptist Church for 25 years.
The husband and some distant kinspeople survive Mrs. Phillips.
