Sources of Names Listed

The listing that follows is derived from the readings by and photographs taken by Tracie Arnold. We have used an alphabetical listing by last name. This is a complete listing.
Tracie found two cemeteries on October 21, 2007 on the property of a family member in Johnson County (off of Stout Branch Road in the Neva community). They sit about 30 feet apart and on two separate pieces of land. Of course, it's possible that there are graves in between the two sets that aren't marked. There is no fence around them and cows are pastured there and are in really bad shape.
Jeffrey Carrier has these markers listed as one cemetery, (Slimp) and Tracie agrees that they could be all in one, but it appears as if they are two cemeteries. If they are two cemeteries, then the Milhorn, Greer and Shaw markers are in what was at one time called the Hackney Cemetery (per TVA cemetery relocation records) [Hackneys owned the land in 1947]. The markers in the Slimp part are Slimp, Davis and Matherson.

Information in brackets [sample] was added by Tracie Arnold unless indicated otherwise.
