Carson G. Trivette, 89, 2808 Big Dry Run Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005 at his residence. He was a native of Avery County, North Carolina, born March 1, 1916 to the late Dudley J. and Winnie Norwood Trivette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Texie Mae (Moody) Trivette; one son, Lewis Grandville Trivette; one grandson, Dwayne Edward Barker; one son-in-law, Joseph Edward Barker; one sister and three brothers. He loved to read and study genealogy. He was a farmer and merchant. He served in the United States Army Battery "A" of the 41st Coast Artillery in the Hawaiian Islands.
Survivors include one son, Carl D. Trivette and wife Dora Lee Trivette, Butler, Tennessee; one daughter, Joyce M. (Trivette) Barker, Bristol, Tennessee; one brother, Allen Trivette, Elk Park, North Carolina; four grandsons, Johnny Barker, Eric Trivette, Michael Trivette and Mark Trivette; two granddaughters, Angelia Seatz and Patricia Dillard; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at 8 p.m. from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Quincy Norris officiating.
Graveside services and interment were conducted Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. from the Trivette Family Cemetery (Dry Hill Community).
Active pallbearers were Johnny Barker, Jason Seatz, Justin Seatz, Eric Trivette, Mark Trivette and Michael Trivette.
Honorary pallbearers were John Arnold, Ronnie Trivette, Charlie Trivette and members of the Johnson County Rescue Squad.
