Ordered by the Court that Thomas Davis, J.H. Norris & W.C. Allen be appointed as a Committee to examine the County Jail and report the worth of the work done by Crosswhite - and the amount work necessary to be done to complet [sic] said work. Report to be made at the next Term of the Court.
G.C. Blevins
Ordered by the Court that G.C. Blevins be appointed overseer of a 2nd class road Leading from J.H. Hubberlain to the top of the Holstone Mountain having all the overseers With their hands subject to work on Roads in the Eight-District for ten days. It is further ordered by the Court he have until the Janry Term of this Court to complete said road.
Wm Arendell having been appointed Deputy Shff for Johnson County Sworn by J.A. Sutherland Shff of Said County, Came into Open Court and was Sworn as Required by Law, and entered upon the discharge of his duties as Such Deputy Sheriff.
Be it remembered that at a regular term of the County Court for JOhnson County, began opened and held for said County at the Court house in Taylorsville, Tennessee on the 1st Monday of Nov. it being the 4th day of said Month AD 1872.
Presend and presiding the Worshipful Thomas J. Barry Chairman and Wm Allen & Thomas J Dougherty associate Justices When the following procedings here held and entered of record to wit:
Ordered by the Court that Ambrose Stone be allowed Fifteen dollars out of the County Treasury for the remainder of the year and that William H. Johnson be appointed Receiver.
Ordered by the Court that Michael Dugger be appointed overseer of a 3rd Class road Leading from Turnpike road below Eliza Moores house running through Chestnut Gap to Watauga River by way of Thomas Anderson. Then by way of Daniel Baker as lined? out to Mill Creek Road, having the hands on the farms of Hugh Reece, Widow Guy, Hiram Bunten, W.H. Dugger, Widow Moore, Thomas Anderson, Thomas B. Cowan, Peter E. Dugger, John Dugger, Jr., John L. Cable, Morgan Swift, Solomon M. Smith, Franklin Stanton, John R. Snider, Daniel Baker & Widow Vines, to assist in making on said ?.
Rendered into Court an inventory of personaly [sic] effects of the said John Loyd, which not being excepted to is ordered to be filed.
