Bastardy

In this Cause Thomas Dyson having been Solemny called to come into Court as he was thid day bound to do to answer the State of Tennessee and Lydia Mitchell on a charge of Bastardy Exibition against him according to the terms & affect of his reconnizance [sic] Came not but made default, and the said James C. Donnelly &D.W. Wills having been Solemny called to come into Court and bring with them the body of Thomas Dyson to answer said charge comes not but make default. It is therefore considered by the Court that the said J.C. Donnelly & D.W. Wills for the default aforesaid do forfeit and pay to the State of Tennessee the sum of Two hundred & fifty dollars jointly according to the effect & tenor of their reconizance entered into at the last term of the Court unless they show good cause to the County and that Scia Facias issue against them to appear at the next term of the Court & show cause if any have why this Judgment should not be made final.
