Bastardy

In this cause having been charged by the Prosecutrix of being the father of a bastard child of which she was delivered on the thirty first day of January 1854 before Washington Blevins a justice of the Peace for said County & sued [sic] ? a warrant the same accepted by Wm. P. Duff & A.D. Sapp for said and taken before Wm. Johnson a Justice of the Peace, father of said child and being required to make his personal appearance at the Present term of the Court and the Defendant I.E. Wilson having made his personal appearance in open court and by his Atty offered an affidavit to try the case open the Issue thereof which motion was over ruled there upon the Deft offered a second as amended affidavit which second motion and affidavit was over ruled by the Court. There upon the case Prosecuted under arguments of the Counsil and being fully heard and the Premises fully considered it is therefore considered by the Court that the Deft I.W. Wilson be fined in the sum thirty dollars the the first year and twenty five dollars for the second year and fifteen dollars for third year and that the Deft pays the cost in this cause all of for which execution may Issue accordingly there upon the Deft by himself personally prayed on on appeal to the next Term of the Supreme Court to be held at Knoxville all of which was granted by the Worshipful Court by the Deft entering into bond as required by Law in such cases made and proved there upon came the Deft and entered into bond with security as the Law ? in such cases.
