He married nancy potter, daughter of Enoch potter and Elizabeth Tecumsah Baird,in 1855. Between 1860 and 1866, he married Elizabeth Roberts, daughter of Richmond Roberts and Lucinda Atkins. Ephraim's sister Barbara, who was in this household in 1850, married David Morefield 5-26-1844 in Johnson County, though she is listed under her maiden name in 1850. Their son Daniel Morefield b. 1845 d 1900, is also in this household. Ephraim Osborne is buried in the Osborne Cemetery (missed by Jeffry Carrier) on the flanks of Forge Mountain. He died in 1911. A picure (in possession of John Rochelle) of Ephraim as an old man, shows strong Indian features.*
