The picture is of John A. LOWE, Johnson County, TN b: abt 1866 D: 1949. He was the son of James Benjamin LOWE b: abt 1838 and Nancy Catherine STOUT B: 1839. The baby is probably a grandaughter but no one knows for sure. The photo was probably taken around 1910.

This image is of a check signed by J. A. Lowe who was Circuit Court Clerk for Johnson County at the time. The check is dated June 3, 1907 and is made out to Will Morley in the amount of one dollar for "Bale cost in cause of State Vs. Jeff Church". The back is endorsed by W. D. Morley and L.B. Morley. The check is stamped on the back is as follows:
