Lindsey Reynolds Jennings was the son of Wiley Jennings and Rebecca Felts. He was born 1-Feb-1843, Wilkes County, NC, and died 16-Jul-1924. He was a 3rd Sergeant in Company D of the 33 NC Infantry, CSA, during the Civil War.
He lived and raised his family in the Shouns Crossroads area, where they lived acrossed the road from the Wood Cemetery where he is buried. His son (my grandfather) Walter Clyde Jennings and wife Maebelle raised their family of 14 near the same area. Most of the family is still living there today.
This copy of this picture was sent to me by Linda Jennings-Hickman, granddaughter of Lindsey and Martha. The cemetery where they are buried is the Wood Cemetery, Forge Creek, Johnson County, Tennessee. There is a marker for Lindsey, but there is not a marker for Martha.
