Julius married (1) Naomi Dobbins, 9 March 1837-4 November 1866. She was a daughter of Joseph E. and Naomi M. Dobbins, 9 April 1860 in Rowan Co., NC. Julius and Naomi's children: (1) Nancy E. Elliott, 6 June 1861-4 Nov 1863 and (2) William R. Elliott, 16 March 1866-29 - April 1866.
Julius married (2), Martha E. Greer, 15 November 1867 probably in Watauga Co., NC. Martha was born 22 September 1844 in Ashe Co., NC, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Ray Greer. Martha died 18 May 1904 in Mountain City, TN and is buried with Julius.
Julius and Martha Greer Elliott's children: (1) Mary Floy Elliott, 10 February 1869 in Ashe Co., NC, died 15 April 1954, Whittier, California. She married Robert Nathan Donnelly. (2) Nora Mae Elliott, born 17 August 1872, probably Watauga Co., NC and died 1945. She was the 2nd wife of Jeremia (Jerry) Wilson, whom she married 4 June 1911. They had no children. She is buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain City. (3) Hattie V. Elliott, born 1874 probably Watauga Co., NC, died 1953 in Oxford, PA. She married Walter (Watt) W. Donnelly, 8 May 1896.
