This picture is of John A. LOWE (son of James Benjamin Lowe and Nancy Catherine Stout, wife Loretta Wills) and his five daughters. It was taken about 1909 in the garden at his home in Jenkins Hollow, across the road from the spring. The house and outbuilding are still standing. The man in the picture is J.A. LOWE and his five daughters (l - r) are Verna Golden Lowe, Nancy Gertrude Fritts, Mary Ethie Shupe & Martha Ethel Goodwin (twins) and Myrtle Louise Jenkins.

John A. Lowe and Loretta W. Lowe are buried in the Phillippi Cemetery, Johnson County, TN. Verna Golden Lowe is also buried there near her parents.
