This photograph is of Mae Valley HALL Greenwell with her son Lloyd Martin Greenwell. Taken in Freemont, VA about late 1929.

Mae Hall was born February 15, 1901 in Butler, Tenn and she died on June 5, 1970 in Hampton, Tenn. She was the daughter of Elijah S. Hall and Ruthie Ann Presnell. On June 23, 1927, Mae Hall married Wiley Martin Greenwell, (b. December 3, 1896 and d. November 13, 1934) son of John Martin Greenwell and Elmina Dugger. Mae and Wiley had the following four children:

1. Lloyd Martin Greenwell b. 1928 in Freemont, VA
2. Lois Ann Greenwell Stout b. December 27, 1929 and died January 30, 1997
3. Louie Greenwell b. November 29, 1931
4. Luther Haskel Greenwell b. March 14, 1934 d. December 30, 1936

Wiley was a WW1 veteran who was in the Army. Mae returned to Hampton, TN after Wiley passed away and raised her four children in Hampton, TN until her death.

She is buried in Hampton by the side of her youngest son, Luther Haskel Greenwell, (b. march 14, 1934 and died December 30, 1936) who died at age 2.
