| This is my great grandfather, David Lincoln Osborne of Ashe County, NC. His parents were John Preston and Mary Jones Osborne. He first married Elizabeth King and had two children. He then married Margaret O. Graybeal also of Ashe Co., my great grandmother, and had several children. His and Margaret's daughter, Mary Caldona Osborne Curd was my grandmother. | This is the earliest picture known of David Lincoln Osborne. It hung in my grandmother's bedroom for as long as I can remember. My uncle got it and tried to take the picture out of the original frame and the picture crumbled.....I wanted to cry. |
This is the gravestone of David Lincoln and Elizabeth King Osborne of Ashe County, NC. His parents were John Preston Osborne and Mary Jones. He was first married to Elizabeth King and then after she died he married my great grandmother, Margaret O. Graybeal. He died while still pretty young and then Margaret married Elbert Leander Bentley and later to WIlliam Riley Brumfield (Bromfield).
