This is a picture of Sarah Thomas Osborne ca. 1829 - 1903. She was the daughter of William and Mary Sutherland Thomas of Ashe County, NC. Mary Sutherland was the daughter of Alexander Sutherland of Grayson County. Alexander's son Thomas Houston Sutherland b. 1785 was the founder of Sutherland, NC.
Sarah Thomas Osborne first married Alvin Osborne. Then she married Alexander Osborne. Sarah's son Richard Franklin Osborne 1846-1897 was married to Emmaline Wilson. Emmaline Wilson was the sister to my great² - grandmother Martha Evaline Wilson Forrester. Martha had some children by her brother-in-law Frank Osborne too.
