Thomas Johnson and Rebecca Jane Donnelly Crosswhite

Thomas Johnson Crosswhite was born 13 February 1827, son of Jesse and Nancy R. Johnson Crosswhite. He served in the Civil War in the 4th Tennessee Infantry (USA) with the rank of Corporal. 29 October 1851 in Johnson he married Rebecca Jane Donnelly. She was born 2 October 1829, a daughter of William and Sarah McQueen Donnelly. Thomas died 8 January 1912 and Rebecca died 12 April 1909. Both are buried in the Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain City, Tennessee.

They were the parents of the following children:

1. John Alexander Crosswhite born 3 June 1853
2. Sarah Parlee Crosswhite, born 1856, married P.C. Lewis
3. Alfred Taylor Crosswhite, born 28 March 1858, died 14 December 1891, buried Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain City, TN. He married (1) Martha M. Willard, 3 September 1879 in Johnson County and (2) Martha M. Johnson
4. Nancy Loretta (Rettie) Crosswhite, born 1860, married D.M. Fritts 9 September 1913, Johnson Co., TN.
5. Eliza Eveline Crosswhite, born 1862
6. Robert Lincoln Crosswhite, born 29 December 1865
7. Thomas Grant Crosswhite, born 12 April 1871, died 13 October 1928, buried Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain City, TN, married Florence V. Smith, 20 December 1898 in Johnson Co., TN.
